Hi There! By now you have probably noticed that this website belongs to James Newman. So let me introduce myself. Hi, I'm James a.k.a. Numan1617 on the internets and various other places.
I have just finished studying Computer Systems and Networks at the University of Plymouth which netted me the title of "BSc (Hons)" and a Second Class Lower Division degree. The course was a four year course with three years of study and a one year placement year. I conducted my placement year with an online computer games company in Cambridge known as Jagex.You may have noticed from the "Web Dev" section that I used my placement as a basis for my final year project at Uni and that project was to make an e-commerce website for Jagex to sell their gaming memorabilia.
Talking of gaming you may have noticed that quite a few links on the left lead to gaming related things I am a part of. Thats because I love all things gaming and enjoy gaming itself, from shooters to strategy I'll give it a try.
Gaming has always been a big interest for me since I first got a Sega MegaDrive when I was younger and running around killing crabs as Sonic trying to memorise the cheat codes "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right..." ahh those were the days. Nowadays though I have given up the MegaDrive and moved onto the Xbox 360 and my my how things have changed. Now I can play against/with people from all over the globe at any time of the day, I can use my console to stream movies, I can extend my favourite games through DLC and I can even buy whole games without having to leave the house.
